There are about 800 residents in the village. There are 2 churches, a medical service, a post office, a petrol gas station, a cinema, some shops, cafes, a kindergarten and a school in the village. The roads are well supported. The land of the village had excavations with participation of German archaeologists from the university of Saarbrucken. They have found a lot of artefacts from the Neolithic, Thracian mounds, etc.

The climate is superb. Annually you can expect 315 days are sunny with average temperature about 12 degrees centigrade – in winter about 1-2 degrees centigrade, in summer about 25 degrees centigrade, with moderate rainfall.
